A Successful, Stitch-Approved, Family Movie Night

Hello Cascade students, staff, families, and local business sponsors! I'm Rachel Eisaman, the Cascade PTA Vice President, and I just wanted to quickly express my gratitude and update everyone on the success of our first PTA-hosted event for the 2025-2026 school year: the incredibly successful Family Movie Night, held on September 18, 2025.

"Ohana means 'Family'. And 'family' means no one gets left behind or forgotten."

This event marked the largest turnout for a Family Movie Night in Cascade Elementary PTA's history. Such an unexpected and touching honor! We featured Disney's live-action Lilo and Stitch, and transformed the school gymnasium with a Hawaiian theme. Additionally, we organized a silent auction and partnered with the 2nd grade teachers and school staff for a bake-sale, raising the remaining funds needed for the upcoming 2nd grade pumpkin-patch field trip. Not only did we raise enough funds, but we also exceeded our goals and expectations by nearly $150. We couldn't have achieved this without you, so thank you, Cascade Families!

"... Why not try and make something for a change?"

Our next Family Movie Night is scheduled for January 21, 2026. More details will follow, but suffice it to say, Stitch might not be thrilled about the planned changes: we learned from the large turnout that an unexpected crowd can be somewhat chaotic and overstimulating, especially for the little ones. Therefore, we are making some accommodations, which may include registration, planned seating arrangements, a sensory-safe space, etc. And yes, we definitely plan to have more snacks.

Thank you once again to everyone for making this event such a success. I look forward to the next one, and hope to see you there!

Rachel Eisaman,

Cascade PTA Vice President
